Overview
The telescope you will be using to take observational data is a 14" Celestron Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope on a Mathis Instruments Equatorial Fork Mount. The telescope is housed in a domed observatory atop Hutchison Hall. Controlled by TheSky6 software coupled to servo motors in the mount, slewing to objects is a matter of locating the object in software and sending a slew command. Coupled to the telescope is an Apogee Alta U6 CCD Camera and Apogee AFW50-7S filter wheel with both broadband and narrowband filters.
